NORTHERN UGANDA MATHEMATICS/HIP HOP TRADITION (NUMHT)

NUMHT is a community-based organization (CBO) that was established in Northern Uganda, specifically in Lira district, with the primary objective of "Educating and Building talent." It is registered under the number 23/17/053.

The hip hop mathematics school program serves as a learning methodology, employing an interactive, entertaining, and participatory networked learning process between the trainer and the learners. The trainer effectively disseminates mathematics information through the medium of hip hop music, integrating it with classroom activities and note-taking.

This approach ensures that learners can easily recall any part of a formula or any other necessary information by simply replaying the lyrical mathematics songs from their notes. As Uganda experiences rapid growth, it follows the global trend where education and innovation play a paramount role in development. The youth in Uganda represent the largest percentage of the population and possess immense potential to drive the nation's progress. Therefore, any initiative that enhances their potential becomes a remarkable strategy.
